Auramex
holds a 30,000 hectare land package near Stewart, BC.
The Bear River, Surprise Creek, Georgie River
and Tide North mineral claims are all within 40 kilometres
of Stewart. There are thirteen known mineralized
showings on the claims. The Company spent $465,000
on exploration in 2006 and 2007.
The
Properties are comprised of four claim blocks; the 1,256
hectare Georgie River claims, the 1,668 hectare Tide
North claims, the 7,062 hectare Surprise Creek claims
and the 19,366 hectare Bear River claims.
Georgie
River - 4.3% copper (average) along 25 metres
of strike and 1.1 metres width at the Lyddon Showing.
A Magnetic anomaly 100 metres north of the showing extends
700 metres to the north northeast. A VLF-em anomaly
is located 350 metres west northwest of the showing.
Initial interpretation indicates the Lyddon mineralization
is similar to that of the Chibougamau Mining Camp in
notheren Quebec. A drill program to test the showing
and the magnetic anomaly has been recommeded for the
2008 field season.
Tide
North - the claims straddle the Bowser River
and cover the toe of the Frank Mackie Glacier.
Large gossanous areas are visible at surface.
The best assays from pan concentrates taken by Auramex
were 24.2 grams per tonne ("g/t") and 13.5
g/t gold. A substantial drill program is being
carried out by American Creek Mines Ltd. on
their property adjoining Tide North's southern boundary.
Surprise
Creek - A property scale stream sediment sampling
program has been carried out. Of significance
is one pan concentrate that returned an assay of 6.5
g/t gold. On the Lauren Gold
claim, a grab sample returned 7.0 g/t gold and 1,368
g/t silver.
Bear
River - several locations of interest - Roosevelt
Ridge where an east striking mineralized structure
has been traced for 700 metres - Yvonne Peak
where a grab sample taken at the top of the Mt. Dilworth
formation (the same stratigraphy as the Eskay Creek
Mine) assayed 109 g/t silver - Bear Glacier
West where nine rock samples returned
1.0 g/t up to 7.84 g/t gold and/or 1.0% copper up to
4.3% copper - Albany Creek
where two grab samples returned 2.14 and 1.31 g/t gold.
Many
of the newly discovered showings have been exposed by
retreating ice.
